\"Power<\/span><\/p>\n

You will find the acronym PoC<\/strong> (Power Over Coax) in different catalogs of high resolution analog security cameras with HDTVI, HDCVI and AHD technology.<\/span><\/p>\n

How to power the camera over coaxial cable?<\/h2>\n

This is very simple, just use a <\/span>DVR <\/span><\/a>and a camera that are compliant with the Power Over Coax<\/strong> standard. Connect the cables and CCTV cameras to the DVR just the way you use to do in your regular CCTV installation. <\/span><\/p>\n

This technology is not new<\/strong>, but is not being used by most installers yet, some are unaware of its existence and others just don’t want to learn about new technologies and leave the traditional system behind.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"DVR<\/span><\/p>\n

Manufacturers that have PoC Technology<\/h2>\n

Hikvision<\/strong>, Dahua<\/strong>, Lilin <\/strong>and Webgate <\/strong>are some of the manufacturers that have technology to power CCTV camera over coaxial cable. <\/span><\/p>\n

As manufacturers are licensing the use of the technology to other companies, it is likely that you will find other brands distributing PoC-powered cameras.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

You can buy PoC camera with HDTVI<\/strong>, HDCVI<\/strong>, AHD <\/strong>or HDSDI <\/strong>technologies, all different manufacturers are already using this standard. <\/span><\/p>\n
