That is usually solved by checking the camera&#8217;s configuration.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; cursor: text;\">Here are the most common network issues.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify; cursor: text;\">The camera IP address is wrong;<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify; cursor: text;\">You tried to connect the camera to the wrong Wi-Fi band;<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify; cursor: text;\">The Wi-Fi signal is not strong enough;<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify; cursor: text;\">There&#8217;s a firewall blocking the traffic to the Internet;<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify; cursor: text;\">The Yi server is temporarily down;<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify; cursor: text;\">You have the Chinese version of the Yi Home camera.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; cursor: text;\">Let&#8217;s take a quick look at how to check and solve these problems.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify; cursor: text;\">Check the camera IP network configuration<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; cursor: text;\">The Yi Home camera gets an IP address from your local Wi-Fi router.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; cursor: text;\">You can open the router&#8217;s network menu and check if the IP is correct for the Yi Home camera. cursor: text;\">As you can see, the devices are in the same network range 192.168.0.x.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; cursor: text;\">I could identify my <strong>Yi Home camera<\/strong> because of its MAC Address (38.01.64.x.x.x).<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify; cursor: text;\">Make sure to use the correct Wi-Fi band<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; cursor: text;\">The Yi Home camera must be connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi router.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; cursor: text;\">Modern <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/31nokCq\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" style=\"outline: none;\">Wi-Fi routers<\/a> have the 5GHz band that doesn&#8217;t work with this camera.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; cursor: text;\">You can check what&#8217;s the band the camera is connected to by checking the router (see the previous picture) or checking the camera setting in the Yi App.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; cursor: text;\">Check the router&#8217;s firewall<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; cursor: text;\">Open your <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/31nokCq\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" style=\"outline: none;\">Wi-Fi router<\/a> security tab and check if there are rules that could block the traffic from your Yi Home camera.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; cursor: text;\">Sometimes the <strong>Yi Home servers<\/strong> go down for a while.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; cursor: text;\">I&#8217;ve seen that happen before while testing my camera.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;
