An unstable Internet or lack of bandwidth may cause the problem.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify; cursor: text;\">How to fix the issue with Hik-connect not displaying all the cameras<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; cursor: text;\">Let&#8217;s take a look at some possible solutions for the problem.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify; cursor: text;\">Check the network status;<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify; cursor: text;\">Adjust the Hik-Connect bitrate settings;<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify; cursor: text;\">Change the user&#8217;s privileges;<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify; cursor: text;\">Update the Hik-Connect phone app;<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify; cursor: text;\">Remove and re-insert the cameras.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; cursor: text;\">Let&#8217;s talk about each one of these options.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify; cursor: text;\">Check the network status<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; cursor: text;\">Make sure your Internet connection is working correctly.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; cursor: text;\">Your cameras need a stable Internet link to communicate with the Hik-connect server and stream the videos.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Ensure that there&#8217;s enough bandwidth by visiting the\u00a0<\/span><a style=\"outline: none;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.speedtest.net\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">SpeedTest.Net website,\u00a0<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">which measures your Internet link&#8217;s download and upload speed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; cursor: text;\">The picture below shows the<strong> Internet link test<\/strong> I&#8217;ve done while writing this article.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"speed test results\" src=\"https:\/\/learncctv.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/speed-test-results.jpg\" alt=\"speed test results\" width=\"710\" height=\"93\" data-id=\"22509\" data-init-width=\"710\" data-init-height=\"93\" data-width=\"710\" data-height=\"93\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">As you can see, the\u00a0<\/span><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Download Speed<\/span><\/strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0(15.35 Mbps) is not that high right now, but the<\/span><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0Upload Speed\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">(11.81 Mbps) is good enough for my IP cameras.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; cursor: text;\">My cameras need to send the traffic to the Internet, so my main concern is how much Upload Speed is available right now, but fortunately, I have enough for the cameras because they need around 2Mbps each one.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Anyway, a\u00a0<\/span><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">second profile<\/span><\/strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0is used for remote access using the Hik-Connect app, and it needs less bandwidth to transmit the data. You can adjust these settings.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify; cursor: text;\">Adjusting the Hik-Connect bitrate settings<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">In the camera or recorder settings, you can find two profiles named\u00a0<\/span><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Main Stream<\/span><\/strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0and\u00a0<\/span><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Sub Stream<\/span><\/strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">; you can alter the<\/span><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0second one\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">to use less bandwidth.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; cursor: text;\">The picture below shows the Sub Stream profile with a resolution of <strong>704&#215;480<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"Hik connect adjust bitrate settings\" src=\"https:\/\/learncctv.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/hik-connect-adjust-bitrate-settings.jpg\" alt=\"Hik connect adjust bitrate settings\" width=\"431\" height=\"392\" data-id=\"22514\" data-init-width=\"431\" data-init-height=\"392\" data-width=\"431\" data-height=\"392\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; cursor: text;\">As you can see, the maximum bitrate is<strong> 512 Kbps<\/strong> (less than 1Mbps).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">You can adjust every camera the same way, so the total bandwidth for the 4 cameras in the example is\u00a0<\/span><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">2048 Kbps<\/span><\/strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0(2Mbps), which is not high for the upload speed available on my Internet link.
