The camera is designed to work with its internal battery without depending on an external power supply connected all the time. The model is easy to install and use, and it can stream a video feed directly to a mobile phone App.<\/span><\/p>\n

I’ve been testing this battery-powered camera <\/strong>for a while, and I want to share my opinion about the product to help you decide if it’s right for you.  Let’s get started.<\/p>\n

A-zone battery-powered camera overview<\/h2>\n

The AZ-f5c440 <\/span>A-Zone Battery-Powered Camera<\/span><\/a> is an IP66 wireless security camera for home and small office applications. It has night vision and an internal 10400mAh rechargeable battery, two-way audio, motion detector, and alarm recording.<\/span><\/p>\n

The camera uses a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi connection to transmit its data to the network, thus allowing remote access via the Internet using a smartphone App. <\/span><\/p>\n

Equipped with a lens that provides a wide-angle of 120\u00b0 view, the camera also uses infrared to allow night visibility up to 66ft (20m).<\/span><\/p>\n

A-zone battery powered IP camera<\/p>\n

It’s possible to use a micro SD card to record the footage locally and send a video stream to record into a cloud server to keep the data safe (paid service).<\/span><\/p>\n

My first impression of the A-zone wireless battery powered camera<\/h2>\n

Yes, I had a good first impression of this product, mainly because it is super easy to set up and use. The video quality is great, and the night vision works pretty well.<\/span><\/p>\n

The A-zone battery-powered camera details<\/h2>\n

The A-zone battery-powered camera is simple and elegant.<\/p>\n

\"A-zone<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

In the front part, there’s a lens, an ambient light sensor, and a LED that indicates when the camera is ON, a microphone, and the infrared LEDs.<\/p>\n

The back part<\/h3>\n

There’s a thread in the back part of the camera to connect the device, so it’s possible to install the camera on a wall.<\/p>\n

In the bottom part of the camera, there’s a power and a reset button, a connector for the USD cord and a slot to insert a micro SD card <\/a><\/a>for footage recording.<\/p>\n

This camera has some interesting features.<\/p>\n

Let’s take a look at them…<\/p>\n

Camera resolution<\/h3>\n

The A-zone camera<\/a> captures images with 2MP (1080p_ resolution, which means you can zoom in to see the video’s details without too much pixelation.<\/p>\n

It has good quality, as you can see in the picture below.<\/p>\n

The camera resolution is good enough to capture important details.<\/p>\n

Night Vision<\/h3>\n

This A-zone camera works well at nighttime.<\/p>\n

It uses infrared LEDs to capture images with great details.<\/p>\n

The picture below shows what the camera captured outdoors during the night.<\/p>\n

As you can see, the image is super clear at night time.<\/span><\/p>\n

Weatherproof<\/h3>\n

The A-zome camera <\/strong><\/span>i<\/strong>s <\/span>weatherproof<\/span><\/strong> to install outdoor and won’t have any problem with rain. It’s <\/span>IP66 rated<\/span><\/strong> (which means it complies with the international standard).<\/span><\/p>\n

Bi-directional (two-way) audio<\/h3>\n

The camera has a microphone and a speaker to allow bi-directional audio communication, so it’s possible to hear the sounds around the camera and speak to someone close to it. The sound is loud and clear.<\/p>\n

Push notification<\/h3>\n

The camera can send push notifications to the smartphone App.<\/p>\n

The camera detects motion and triggers the notification.<\/p>\n

SD Card Recording<\/h3>\n

It’s possible to record the videos into micro SD cards<\/a>.<\/p>\n

I recommend you buy a<\/span> class 10 micro SD card<\/span><\/a> to avoid problems.<\/span><\/p>\n

Cloud Recording<\/h3>\n

You can have the camera recording on the micro SD card and also in the cloud.<\/p>\n

The footage stays safe into the cloud just in case something happens to your camera, and that’s very good for security purposes.<\/p>\n

You can use the App in your mobile phone to retrieve the videos.<\/p>\n

Easy installation and setup<\/h2>\n

I could install and set up the camera in less than 10 minutes.<\/p>\n

The box brings everything for the installation, and the setup process is very simple.<\/p>\n

I just had to connect the power equipment to the camera, download the CloudEdge App<\/a> and follow the instructions to read the QR code.<\/p>\n

The picture below shows the instructions to point the smartphone to the camera.<\/p>\n

After few steps you can have your camera up and running.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, the camera does not use the same smartphone App as the other A-zone cameras (such as the<\/span> 3MP A-zone camera <\/span><\/a>I review before in the blog), and this forces you to use more than one App for the same camera brand.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Pros and Cons of camera<\/h2>\n

OK, it’s time to talk about the pros and cons of the A-zone camera<\/a>.<\/p>\n

      If you want an inexpesive wireless camera, I suggest going for this one…<\/p>\n
