The next step is to add the Axis camera to the app.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Ways to get the Axis camera working on Roku<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">OK, now that you have the App running on your Roku TV, you need to pick a method to add your IP camera. I tested two of them. See the options below.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; cursor: text;\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Options to add an Axis camera to the Roku TV.<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify; cursor: text;\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Without using the ONVIF protocol<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify; cursor: text;\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Using the ONVIF protocol<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; cursor: text;\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">There are pros and cons to both methods.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; cursor: text;\">For the first method, it&#8217;s unnecessary to enable the <strong>ONVIF <\/strong>protocol, and the motion in the screen is smooth; however, it uses more bandwidth in your network.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; cursor: text;\">The second method uses less bandwidth in the network; however, you can notice a &#8220;robotic&#8221; motion in the video because the TV can&#8217;t keep up with a high frame rate. It may work as long as you have the correct camera information and use the valid\u00a0<\/span><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Stream URL<\/span><\/strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; cursor: text;\">Now, let&#8217;s see how to add the camera using the ONVIF protocol.<\/p>\n<h3>Method 02 &#8211; Using the ONVIF protocol<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; cursor: text;\">Make sure your IP camera and TV are connected to the same network.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; cursor: text;\">Get the following information before getting started.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify; cursor: text;\">Camera IP address;<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify; cursor: text;\">Camera Port Number (default 80);<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify; cursor: text;\">ONVIF Username;<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify; cursor: text;\">Password<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">To use this method, you must enable the ONVIF protocol and create a user in the camera.
