The platform works for Android and iOS devices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>To add a camera, NVR, or DVR to the Hik-Connect App, you need to enable the service in the device and create a verification code; download the App Hik-Connect for End Users to your mobile phone or tablet and follow a setup Wizard on the device screen.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This method is known as Cloud P2P, and it&#8217;s commonly used for remote access to your cameras and recorders. Still, it&#8217;s also possible to use different methods, such as the device&#8217;s IP address (IP\/Domain) or the Hik-Connect DDNS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Let&#8217;s look at how to set up the Hik-Connect Service with a real example.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Adding a Device to Hik-Connect using Cloud P2P<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To add a camera or recorder to Hik-Connect, the first step is to enable Platform Access on the device. Here are the steps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Enable Hik-Connect on the device (camera, DVR or NVR)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Go to <strong>Main Menu > Configuration > Network > Advanced Settings > Platform Access<\/strong> and check the box to enable Hik-Connect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"684\" height=\"417\" src=\"https:\/\/learncctv.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/Enable-Hik-Connect-on-Hikvision-NVR-via-Web.jpg\" alt=\"Enable Hik-Connect in the device\" class=\"wp-image-30265\" srcset=\"https:\/\/learncctv.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/Enable-Hik-Connect-on-Hikvision-NVR-via-Web.jpg 684w, https:\/\/learncctv.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/Enable-Hik-Connect-on-Hikvision-NVR-via-Web-300x183.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 684px) 100vw, 684px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Install the Hik-Connect App for End User<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The old Hik-connect App no longer works, and you need to download the new one from the Hikvision website since it&#8217;s not available in the Android or Apple store.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I have an&nbsp;<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/learncctv.com\/how-to-update-the-hik-connect-app\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">article<\/a>&nbsp;detailing how to install the Hik-connect for End Users on Android phones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Download and install the Hik-Connect from the&nbsp;<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/appstore.hikvision.com\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Hikvision AppStore Website<\/a>.
